JustTrains once again are here to beef up your modern image rolling stock with their £5.88 wagon pack available for Electronic download. The Seacow Ballast hopper
wagons are presented in this pack in eight liveries. When Hornby released their finely detailed model of this wagon some time ago I must admit that I was rather
taken by this wagon and I was delighted to see that JustTrains have released one for Rail Simulator and RailWorks.
You will certainly not be disappointed with the detail on the wagon, i've tried to show a couple of close-ups in the screenshots so you can really appreciate all the
extra 3D detail that's been put in to it. As with all the JustTrains RailWorks releases I have to say this one does not let the team down, with extremely intricate
3D detailing and very finely produced textures.
In addition to the wagons you also get a selection of scenarios:
- Standard Scenario on Oxford to Paddington
- Standard Scenario on Newcastle to York (Deltic on Freight!)
- Standard Scenario on Somerset and Dorset (7F on Seacows! Surreal!)
- Free Roam on Oxford to Paddington
The scenarios seem to all follow the same basic and very straight forward formula; you start near some wagons and have to reverse to pick up one or more cuts of wagons and join them together,
once you have built up the train you can then proceed on to the main line and drive for a while before you reach the conclusion and that's the end. Not particularly imaginative but it's
better than nothing. It will provide some means for beginners to get to see the wagons in action but it doesn't really do much to help the view that Scenarios in RailWorks could be better.
Overall these are some great wagons that will make a nice addition to your modern image rolling stock collection.
You can pick these up for direct download from the JustTrains web site here for £5.88
