As created by Christian Hartley-Woolley (UKTS User 'pitleyfalley') and Jur Snijder (UKTS User 'fadedglory'), with Signalling by Martin S-C (UKTS User 'saddletank').

The route represents the Southwold Railway around the early 1920's although parts are depicted earlier. The Southwold Rly ran from 1879-1929 from Southwold in Suffolk to Halesworth Junction with the GER, some 9 miles away. The MSTS route is semi ficticious and was always meant to be a representation of the route and not an exact copy. It depicts a traditional 3ft gauge branch line, as it would have been in Edwardian England, when the pace of life was somewhat slower and more relaxed.

All the lines rolling stock is also avaliable to download from Uktrainsim as is the route itself, in a 5 part download with a patch or two. Stock all created by Jur Snijder, and includes the lines four engines, the first three No.1 "Southwold" No.2 "Halesworth" and No.3 "Blythburgh" built by Sharp Stewart, and No.4 "Wenhaston" built by Manning Wardle in 1918. The six coaches are avaliable in various liveries they carried aswell as a wide selection of rolling stock.

Another point to note; the two route authors have never met, or even spoken to one another in person, the whole route being built over the web via email and the Uktrainsim message boards.

Download Details

You will need to download all five parts, when downloaded you will have:

Now look for 'Hide Extensions for Known Filetypes' - if this is ticked then CLEAR it, it's a big pain!

Now, re-check your files and verify they are the same as shown above, if they are not then remove any additional extensions that might have appeared so they match what is above.

Next we need to rename the files, so remove the UKTS_8815_ bit (changing the number appropriately) so you have just got the SouthwoldRailway bit before the extension; you should end up with:
