I tried to get as much info on the Car Plant when I was building it, but did not know that they had finished assembling vehicles there in that era - so it was parts for the Marina that went to Cowley. My scenario however still works, as it would be empty crates coming to Swindon and full ones going back. Will make that clear in the info, and when I publish part 2. There would also be completed vehicles stored there, ready for export, as Cowley had very little spare space. Lord Bickerstaff has already published a scenario with VDAs full of panels going from Longbridge to Swindon - so I doubt that was correct! How are you getting on with extending the GWML in the modern era? regards Nick rjrpcrail 18 Mar 2015 16:29:17 [Report] During the BR blue era days general the car parts went from Swindon to Cowley and it was empties that ran to Swindon. Swindon made body parts for Cowley it was later that Swindon started making cars.
